Disordered Optical Fibre Winding
Since optical fibre is nonconductive, it is charged easily by the friction or separation in the transfer line. When charged fibre is wound, the winding becomes disordered due to the repulsion between fibres.
Disorderly wound fibre may get entangled during unwinding, which causes damage to the fibre or stoppage of the equipment.
Conventional countermeasures
Conventional static eliminator
- The static elimination speed is insufficient.
- The static elimination status is not clear.
Countermeasures with static eliminators (ionizers)
An ionizer enables effective static electricity elimination while visualising the effects. This improves product quality and prevents improper bobbin winding.
Improvements and Effects
